Schema of Constructing of Concretization of an Application Domain Description by Information Resources.

Semantic abstraction mapping establishing a correspondence between an information resource and an application is considered to be the basic notion providing for semantic interoperability of the heterogeneous information resources. Separately keeped application description is introduced as the primary semantic reference point. Using such description we present a methodological approach for man/machine design of implementation of the application by the pre-existing resources. In the SYNTHESIS project framework seven steps are introduced to construct a concretization of an application class by the resource classes. Integration of an application domain and an information resource ontology provides necessary basis for search of the information resource class specifications and their components suitable for the application class implementation. We introduce concretization view definition technique supporting semantic reconciliation, adaptation and mediation of resource classes to satisfy the requirements of specific application classes. Usage of the common declarative description style and predicative specifications for the application and resource level as well as of the integrated ontology makes possible to generate and prove formal concretization conditions capturing structure, value and behavioral properties. |
